A Message from Chairperson of the Board Jeff Maturo

Over the past year, the Board has remained steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the public interest and ensuring the continuity of life safety operations. Every decision we make is focused on delivering prompt, professional responses to fire and rescue emergencies, addressing the needs of our residents and visitors. In these challenging times, I want to assure you that our highly trained team stands ready to serve and protect you with excellence and dedication.
In 2024, the Fire District was instrumental in protecting the lives and safety of a population ranging from 56,229 to 90,000 residents and visitors. We also safeguarded taxable property assets totaling $17.3 billion during the 2023/2024 fiscal year. Despite challenges, we have driven meaningful progress within the organization while maintaining critical service levels that our community depends on.
One noteworthy achievement is the 12.74% increase in property values compared to the previous year. This reflects the sustained growth and prosperity of our community, and we remain committed to meeting this growth with exceptional service. Our focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction continues to guide our efforts as we uphold the highest standards of coverage and care.
Thank you for your trust and support. Together, we will continue to build a safer, stronger community.
Sincerely, Jeff Maturo
Chairperson of the Board of the Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District
