FIRE-RESCUE EXPANDS ‘SHARPS’ DISPOSAL PROGRAM
Bonita
Springs Fire-Rescue has expanded its "sharps' disposal
program to now include three fire stations.
"Sharps" include used syringes with attached needles and
disposable lancets
Insulin
dependent residents, or others whose medical conditions require
the use of injected medication can pick up new sharps containers
and deposit used containers at the following Bonita Springs Fire
Stations:

Fire Station One at 27490
Old 41 Road

Station Two at 28055 Mango Drive

Station Three at 25001 South Tamiami Trail

Station Four at 27701 Bonita Grande Drive
The business offices of Station Four are staffed
Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5
p.m. Used containers can be delivered to the above fire stations
as long as firefighters are in the station to accept used
containers. It is critical that residents do not leave used
containers outside fire station if firefighters are not
available to personally accept the container. The purpose of the
program is to ensure that used needles are disposed of properly.
