The Fire Prevention Life Safety Partnership Awards are given to businesses or individuals in Bonita Springs who have shown dedication to providing a safe environment for customers, residents and students. Following is a list of our requirements for the Fire Prevention Life Safety Partnership Award given by the Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District. The Prevention Division requires that any award recipient accomplish one or more of the criteria prior to receiving the award.
The business has: 1. Maintained fire prevention in buildings and on site all year round. 2. Communicated with the Fire Inspectors when prevention problems arise. 3. Few or no violations after pre-inspections checklist has been given. 4. An emergency plan and/or conducts regular fire drills. 5. An active audit program pertaining to fire prevention and safety issues such as monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, exit signs, emergency lights, clearance of fire exits, etc. 6. Taken the initiative to correct noted violations well before the re-inspection date. 7. Shown to be proactive and attentive to fire prevention and safety issues.
