Text Box: Smoke goes UP and so we go DOWN!

It is important to crawl low under smoke
so we can get outside safely.

Smoke has a deadly chemical in it called
CARBON MONOXIDE.

It is never safe to breath in smoke for this reason.
Text Box: 9-1-1 is the number that you should call in case of an emergency. When you dial that number it’s important to know the address where you are at.
Everyone’s address has two parts.
A NUMBER part:       and a STREET part:
                    27701            Bonita Grande Drive
You will need to know both parts when you call 9-1-1.

Text Box: It is very important to have a
SAFE MEETING PLACE.

This will be where your family and the firefighters meet you if your house is on fire.

A good example of a
SAFE MEETING PLACE is your
mailbox or the end of your driveway.
Text Box: Fire is used for cooking food, providing light and is even fun on birthday cakes. But a fire that starts out as a good fire can become a bad fire very quickly.
We need to remember three rules that can keep us safe:
1. A grown-up must be present
2. It needs to be lit for a good reason
3. It should be a safe fire

Remember, fire is a tool used only by
grown-ups!
